Demagnitize your cartridge

Directions: Install your brass pad under the cartridge.
Tightened down the mounting screws, don’t over tighten
the screws. Should be tight but you should be able to make slight adjustments to the cartridge
over tightening the screws will sound muddy and lifeless.
Once mounted to the headshell and installed to the tonearm, due to the extra weight you will have to re-adjust the tonearm counter weight. Once this is complete, set the weight gauge to whatever the cartridge
grams should be.
Demagnetizing the cartridge:
Your cartridge should be demagnetized from time to time.
To demagnetize your cartridge you simply unplug the TT cables from the phono stage
Put a record on the TT and let it play
Now take the cable ends of the TT while the record plays and touch them together
Positve to the negative of each one together.
Note picture: hold them together while the record is playing from 45secs to 60secs.
That’s it, now plug the cables back into the phonostage.
And enjoy the music.

Cartridge instruction

I told you about "before up grading your cartridge"  I want you to try our product.
Hey! Good  Cartridge will cost you enough make your wife bite you. But our product is around $20 with free shipping.

BUT  YOU DON'T KNOW HOW???

Instructions:

1. Install stylus protection cover over your stylus, If the stylus can be removed better still.

The Alien Tweak Audio resonance control kit is simply inserted between the head shell and cartridge.

If you resonance control kit came with screws please use the brass screws. They should be a little longer to accommodate the thickness of the resonance control pad.

We are installing our pad into a SME 3009 head shell. Using supplied brass screws and a vintage Sonus Gold cartridge. You will need tweezers to pull the wires off your cartridge or install them, and a small screwdriver.

Please note: We have removed the shell connect wires for easier viewing, You don’t have to remove your wires.

After removing your cartridge . Install the pad into the head shell as follows

Install the pad into the headshell (illustation1)

Install one screw with the nut attached. (see Illustration 2)

Install your cartridge back into the headshell (illustration 3)

Install the screw and nut to hold the cartridge and pad in place.
Note when tightening the screws do not over tighten the screws. Doing so, will make your cartridge sound dull and lifeless. A little more the finger tight works best. If you can move the cartridge with a little more than a slight push, That’s about perfect.

It’s almost ready to go!

Re-install your wires to the cartridge.

Install your head shell to the tonearm.

Rebalance the tone arm to zero. The arm with cartridge installed should float in mid air. Zero weight. Now simply adjust for the weight of your cartridge set the weight to your cartridge factory specs. If it’s one gram than you set it at one gram. Do not compensate for the pad.

Demagnetize your cartridge. (See illustration) This is a nice tweak and it’s free.

NOTE: Every cartridge and tonearm may have a different way to install your cartridge or your headshell may not be removable. Please refer to the factory manual for installation instuctions. You are now ready to enjoy your purchase.

Welcome to Alien Tweak Audio Family, We welcome your questions or comments.

Think before buying a Top $$$$$ cartidges

Brass Cartridge/Tonearm Resonance Control is way to go
WHAT IT IS
A solid brass pad, precision ground to a precise weight and tolerance. Then polished to a high shine. (Looks and feels like a piece of gold) The pad is inserted between your head shell and cartridge, we recommend using our brass screws which are included. The screws alone are a sonic improvement.
Used in conjunction with the Alien Tweak Brass Pad. You now have a very serious upgrade.
Have you ever noticed the vibrational feet under speakers or equipment? They are made of only one type of material. Brass. There is a reason for this Nothing stops vibrations quite like brass. The difference /improvement in sound is noticed immediately.
HOW IT WORKS
When you play an LP, the groove imparts energy to the stylus. One part of that energy produces the music signal. The remaining energy causes the cartridge and then the arm to vibrate, in addition to room vibrations. Which causes you music to sound muddy and non-dimensional. The more excess vibration that is drained from your cartridge and tonearm the cleaner your music will sound. Open and three dimensional.
IT’S AN UPGRADE
To draw out the very best from your vinyl. The improvement must be definite and substantial. The veil is removed, dramatic dynamics, wider soundstage. More important, real silence… Background is eerily quite. Not to mention looks just as beautiful.
THE CHALLENGE
Listen to your favorite LP. Then install the Resonance control kit. Then listen to your LP again. You’ll hear yourself say “Huh ,never heard that before” little things come through your LP’s you listened to over and over. Things you just never noticed before.
Your music will come to life. If you don’t think so send it back for a complete refund.
We’ve been doing this since the 70‘s, Alien Tweak also manufactures our own record cleaning kits, cables, including silver/copper speaker, interconnect IC wires and AC cords. TT 100% synthetic oil and lube. We rewire tone arms and make other equipment to enhance your listening pleasure.

Alien Tweak Audio ~ About Us ~

We started way back in the early seventies. I know we are basically dating ourselves, but this is the beginning of some great things to come.

I was a musician since the age of 10 and played with some really, now great musicians.
By the time I was 15,  I started working on amplifiers, sort of learn as I go. Everything was tubed back then. lucky for me my dad knew something about electronics and that helped. Soon I was being asked to repair everything from amps, guitars to fuzz tones.
At 18 a friend and I decided we just didn't like speaker products out there. So we started to build speaker cabinets for bass players. By this time Cerwin Vega was just hitting the scene. Their 18s were fantastic. But we wanted more. So we started building home stereo speakers. unfortunately the speakers that we could buy for our cabinets, just were not up to the task. Now we started to build our own speakers as well. Hence Peak Audio was born. The name changed a few times over the years. But you know. every now and then I still run across a set of our speakers.

Almost 30 years ago I started my own recording studio.
Back then I engineered everything myself. And on occasion still do. But I was never satisfied with just using things out of the box. I found by using different wires or different techniques I could get a really good sound or mix.

Now the mid 80s I started building solid state (transistor) amps for stereos. Heathkit and Dynaco kits was were I began. To tell you the truth most new amps are pretty much still designed the same way. With a touch of modern technology. The only difference is the $100.000.00 price tag.

Alien Tweak Audio was started because nothing in the audiophile world should cost the price of a house.

If you can afford it more power to you. But for the real world this is unexceptable. Greed plays a major factor and little else. You can get a really great sound out of your system if you take the time to Tweak the system without refinancing your house.

$150.000 dollar turntables? $55,000 dollar 8' speaker cables? and my favorite $15,000 dollar cartridge.Amps speakers, Oh My. So by today's standards you'll need about $500,000 bucks to hear what? Magazine threads just love to tell how wonderful the sound is and justify the price, they do it with such flair.

Alien Tweak Audio can help you without braking the bank or getting a divorce. More bang for your buck! After all, you just want to sit back and listen to your tunes.

We build speaker cables, interconnect cables.resonance control devices, rebuild tonearms and turntables which can rival any $10,000 dollar TT. without the price.
Please feel free to let us know what your thinking about
